Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the Catholic Medical
Missionary Society.

held at ALLEN HALL, LONDON, on Saturday 31st May 2025. 3pm.Hybrid Meeting.
The meeting opened with prayers, Steve Brennan chairing.

members plus 3 online. .

MINUTES of 2024, previously circulated, were accepted with no changes, no Matters Arising.
CHAIRMAN’s REPORT. Bruno had had to give his apologies.
SECRETARY/TREASURER’s REPORT: Steve reported that we had only been able to send out four £500 Grants this year, as income was “down”. We had even had to ask for £500 from the CMA, to enable us to do this; keeping up our regular donations to Dr. Jos Thaliath & Fr. Daniel Arockiadas in India, & The Comboni Sisters in Ethiopia. The fourth donation went to the Friends of the Holy Land, to help in Gaza. We had “caught up” with our Gift Aid claims, so that source of income would be halved next year. We had had no new Standing Orders for many years. We would shortly be sending our annual £500 to the Comboni Sisters. Bruno, Steve, Maria Meilak, & Dominic Whitehouse, continue to vet any new applicants, we have lost contact with Alicja Waszac.

The meeting closed at 3.15pm and was immediately followed by the CMA AGM.
FUTURE: The CMMS is our own charity, set up and supported by the CMA. We exist to provide support for charitable medical work across the world. Last year we funded projects in Ethiopia, India, the Holy Land and elsewhere.
